Leading Australian construction company Built has announced a strategic alliance with global infrastructure specialist Sacyr to form a unified delivery partnership for a number of upcoming large-scale projects.
The partnership brings together Built’s national expertise and proven delivery capability with Sacyr’s technical excellence and global experience delivering major social infrastructure projects across four continents.
Together, the Built-Sacyr partnership draws on a combined annual revenue of more than A$11 billion with projects spanning healthcare, commercial, social infrastructure, stadia, and defence. The joint venture was recently named preferred alliance partner for the redevelopment of Peel Health Campus in Western Australia.

Built’s CEO, Construction, David Paterson said the partnership has been established in response to the growing need for delivery partners who can provide scale, certainty, and supply chain resilience.
“This partnership isn’t about chasing volume; it’s about combining complementary strengths to deliver better outcomes on the most complex infrastructure projects,” Paterson said.
“Sacyr brings deep global experience in delivering large-scale social infrastructure and access to international supply chains. Combined with Built’s national capability and digital-first construction, we offer a delivery approach that provides certainty, scale, and community benefit.”

Sacyr, which has operated locally for more than a decade, is recognised globally for major health, sport, and social infrastructure projects across 15 countries, including Portugal’s 65,000-seat Estadio da Luz stadium and key venues for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games. Its global portfolio includes more than 80 hospitals and health centres, including one of the largest hospitals in Latin America.
A Sacyr spokesperson said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering smarter, more resilient infrastructure.
Rafael Gómez del Río, CEO of Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures said, “Built and Sacyr share a vision for delivering smarter, more resilient generational infrastructure. By combining global capability with local strength, our delivery partnership seeks to ensure certainty, efficiency, and long-term value for clients and communities.”
Paterson added, “Australia’s infrastructure pipeline demands delivery teams that can handle complexity with confidence, combining scale and innovation to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Built and Sacyr offer that expertise, particularly for projects that are time-critical and of national significance.”
With Australia’s infrastructure pipeline continuing to expand, Built and Sacyr are positioned to deliver outcomes that strengthen communities and build lasting public value.
